TIPS: Completing a Home Inspection

Notes:

  • For Home Purchase:
Every home purchase is contingent on completing a home inspection. If the seller doesn’t agree with an inspection, then walk away from the contract. The last thing you need is a major fix once you close and move into the home.
  • For Remodeling Projects:
It is highly recommended that you hire your own inspector to review the work completed as based on your remodeling specs. The inspector will check for completeness and quality of work. If the work doesn’t pass inspection, you will need to negotiate on repair steps before releasing final funds.
