- Autumn decor through the fall months: what is nice about autumn decor is how long it can last. You can start mid-September with fall chrysanthemums and garden harvest. And with the beginning of October, add to your decor a few pumpkins and other items the changes the decor into Halloween. And then after Halloween, remove the scary stuff and add color fall foliage to celebrate the Thanksgiving season. That gives you full two months of autumn decor with minor variations.
